# Best Way to Earn Money (Mk) in Longvinter
Currently, in Longvinter, the most efficient way to earn a significant amount of money in the shortest time is fishing. You can sell expensive fish to the fishing NPC located on Koilot Island. Cheap fish can be sold for about 900Mk each, while expensive fish can go for around 3,000Mk. Within 10 to 15 minutes of fishing, you can easily earn at least 30,000Mk. The return on time investment is excellent.
However, to trade with this fishing NPC, you must first fulfill a prerequisite: achieving "100% Fishing conpendium."
If you're lucky, completing the Fishing conpendium to 100% is achievable within an hour. Follow the fishing guide below, and anyone can easily achieve the Fishing conpendium. You will be fishing at three different fishing points, catching all the necessary fish.
Additionally, separate from earning money through fishing, if you proceed with the `Mastering Fishing` quest at the same time, you will complete the quest while filling the conpendium, which rewards 9,999Mk. It's recommended to accept and proceed with the `Mastering Fishing` quest at Sgt. Lake's Outpost, but you can choose to do it later as well. * 2nd Priority: Blueberry Pack (10% increased chance of catching better fish)

* Prepare a boat in advance or save up 2,000Mk to buy a boat before proceeding to the third guide.
## 1\. Sgt\. Lake's Outpost

Near Sgt. Lake's Outpost, which is much like the starting village, you can catch perch, trout, whitefish, rainbow trout, and Black Grouper. The 'Black Grouper' is relatively rare here, but based on my experience, I could catch all the fish within 10 minutes. Since it's more profitable to quickly complete the conpendium and then fish for more expensive fish, I recommend discarding all the fish you catch here. You can also catch the Black Grouper at the fishing point #3-2 mentioned below, so you can choose to catch it later.

Fish at the fishing spot on the right side of Diogo's port. The Misty Grouper tends to be less common here, but generally, within about 10 minutes of fishing, you can catch most of the fish. The `Arctic Char` can also be caught later on, so if you've caught all the other fish, you can proceed to point #3. It's recommended to keep the `Arctic Char` and `Misty Grouper` as they can be sold for a good price later after completing the conpendium.

Upon arriving at Koilot Harbor, there's a path at the 1 o'clock direction. Following this path, you'll encounter a fenced area with a gate as shown below.
Since you've already filled 9-10 entries in the fishing conpendium from steps #1 and #2, you can open this gate and enter. If you've not filled the conpendium by more than 50% and someone else opens the gate for you, you'll be kicked out back to Sgt Harbor.
After entering through the gate, continue to find the fishing spot. Soon, you'll encounter a hill with a vending machine and an NPC. At this spot, you need to purchase a boat to reach the next fishing location. Buy the `small lifeboat (approx. 1,950Mk)` from the red vending machine on the left side of the hill.
Once you've purchased the boat, follow the path down the left side of the lake. When you approach the cliff, you'll see wind turbines.
At this point, ride the boat to the location marked with an arrow in the image above. There are precisely three fishing points here. You need to catch Tuna, Stingray, Arctic Char, Swordfish, and Salmon Shark. Swordfish and Salmon Shark are relatively rare. Among the fish caught at this point, you can discard Tuna, but it's recommended to keep `Stingray`, `Arctic Char`, `Swordfish`, and `Salmon Shark` as they're valuable. If you run out of bag space, consider discarding the relatively cheaper `Stingray`.
While fishing, there may be moments when there are no fishing points available. In such cases, catch the fish you see in the upper right.
## 3\. Koilot Harbor \(코일롯 항구\) \#2

As you progress through spot 3#1, traverse between 3#2 using a boat.
Once all fish are caught at the 3#1 fishing spot and the spot disappears, you need to complete the fish conpendium at two nearby spots, close to the winter land you see at 1 o'clock direction. These are the fish to catch: Pike, Haddock, Cod, Black Grouper, and Salmon Shark. When fishing from a boat, keep a distance to avoid the cold debuff which can affect your health. Among the fish caught here, it's recommended to discard all except for the Salmon Shark due to their low value.
After completing both 3#1 and 3#2, your fish conpendium will be complete.

Once your fishing conpendium is complete, you can trade with the fishing NPC located next to the vending machine on Koilot Island where you purchased the boat in the third guide.

Make sure to purchase the ```Fishing Hat``` ([Item Info Link(Korean)](https://vinternote.com/item/%EC%96%B4%EB%B6%80-%EB%AA%A8%EC%9E%90/)). When worn, it increases your fishing speed by 35% and displays a tooltip showing which fish can be caught when hovering over a fishing spot. This NPC also sells the ```Worm Pack``` ([Item Info Link(Korean)](https://vinternote.com/item/%EC%A7%80%EB%A0%81%EC%9D%B4-%ED%8C%A9/)). This consumable increases the chance to catch a higher-grade fish by 25%. Always purchase 2-3 packs when fishing.
Now, wearing the ```Fishing Hat```, go to the spots where you fished during the third guide, or move to a fishing spot with the *same school* of fish, excluding Tuna. Fill your inventory with all the fish and then sell them to the Fishing NPC. For the location of the fishing spots, refer to the link below.
